How to know when Not to Trade

Here are a few simple pointers, which should make sense to you. When trading nadex, forex or using any of our systems keep these pointers in mind to help you remember when not to trade.

Although we have taken the complicated and made it simple, you will always need to have a clear head when trading. What I have listed below is not a definitive list for knowing when not to trade.

Just a few pointers.
  • Don’t ever trade when you’re overtired! You know when your attention span has wavered and silly mistakes can be made. It would be best to pause your trading at this time, and to find something else to do. Go splash some water on your face. Go for a brisk walk or whatever, but don’t trade! Wait for the next day when you are bright-eyed and bushy tailed if need be.
  • Never trade when you are intoxicated. You wouldn’t drink and drive your vehicle when you are intoxicate. So why try trading after a few? If you are the type of person who comes home, sits down and has a few beers and then wants to see if you can trade? Don’t! The work-at-home processes of building a business needs a special kind of mentality. You wouldn’t drink during the day, so don’t drink during or before trading! There is a time and a place for everything. Trading and drinking are not one of those times.
  • Angry or frustrated? Don’t trade, it’s that simple! If your mind is on something else you cannot be putting 100% of your focus into your trading mind-set. Likewise, if you feel frustrated at loosing a trade, check that you have done everything right. If you have, then call it a natural loss. If it’s still bothering you then step away from your computer. Clear your head before trading again and don’t dwell on it.
  • Make sure that there is nothing to distract you. Shut Facebook and any other social media accounts off. Turn off your phone and shut off all other sources of distraction. Just focus on trading for the time you are there.

I hope these pointers are helpful! What are some of your trading tips to help you stay focused while trading?
